IMOD/PEET Workshop for Cryo-Tomography

We are pleased to announce a collaborative IMOD/PEET workshop with The University of Colorado, Boulder to be held at Rocky Mountain Laboratories in Hamilton, Montana, June 26-30, 2017.  The workshop is limited to 20 participants with lead instructors John Heumann, David Mastronarde, and Cindi Schwartz teaching many aspects of cryo-tomography from acquisition to analysis via sub-tomogram averaging. Applications are due by December 23, 2016. A list of participants/alternates and the final agenda will be determined by January 31, 2017. Participation is free, however participants are expected to cover travel, lodging, and food costs.

Class size is limited to 20 participants who must attend all 5 days to be considered for the workshop.
 
Meeting Format:
This comprehensive course will cover batch data acquisition using SerialEM, batch tomogram reconstruction using IMOD, and sub-tomogram averaging using PEET. Participants will work through sample data in the new RML Computer Learning Center and time will be allotted to go over participants’ own problematic data. Previous experience with tomographic reconstruction in IMOD is required. Experience with PEET is preferred and highly recommended.
