SBIR Workshop on Resources to Accelerate Commercialization

          The purpose of the NIAID SBIR Workshop is to bring together small business companies funded through NIAID SBIR/STTR mechanism to inform small business concerns (SBCs) about federal and non-federal resources available and processes, relevant to the commercialization and development of infection disease technologies. The workshop will give awardees the knowledge and tools needed to fully comply with SBA NIH SBIR/STTR policies and regulations. The workshop will include discussion on: NIAID mission, overview of NIAID SBIR/STTR program, NIAID Intellectual property, and outreach to economically disadvantaged women-owned small business concerns, experiences of companies funded through NIAID SBIR/STTR program.

          The workshop will present an opportunity for those who are interested in the NIAID SBIR/STTR program to learn about the NIAID SBIR/STTR program, new updates/procedures, allow small business concerns an opportunity for networking and one-on-one discussions with NIAID program officers. The researchers will benefit significantly from the provided guidance, thus will allow them to write successful SBIR proposals relevant to the commercialization.
